Dorie Robinson, Law Clerk

Dorie is an experienced paralegal who is also enrolled in the APR6 Law Clerk Program of the Washington State Bar Association, an alternative to law school as a means of learning the law and qualifying to sit for the State’s Bar Exam for admission to practice law as an attorney at law.  She was recetly featured in the article “Law School: Who Needs It?”  in the National Law Journal.  Her first job as a paralegal was learning from and working with Stevens County Superior Court Judge Pat Monasmith, when he was in private practice.  Subsequently she has worked for 4 different attorneys in Stevens County, starting with Pruitt-Hamm Law & Mediation in 2006.  She has worked on a wide range of legal matters, including: Family Law; Elder Law; Estate Planning; Probate; Guardianships; Divorce; Personal Injury; Real Estate closings and refinance; Dependencies; At-Risk Youth (ARY); Child in Need of Services (CHINS); Criminal Defense; Involuntary Treatment Act; Adoptions; Mediation; Collection; Anti-Harassment, Domestic Violence Protection; and Vulnerable Adult Protection.
